Parent Project Muscular Dystrophy, a nonprofit organization focused on ending Duchenne muscular dystrophy, recently awarded Talem Technologies and the New Jersey Institute of Technology (NJIT) a $600,000 grant. The grant will be used to fund a two-year study to improve the lives of patients living with Duchenne. Thirty-five pairs of Talem’s arm technology will be installed on patient wheelchairs and paired with NJIT’s embedded computer technology to determine their functionality and ability to improve quality of life.
