Urban Science recently announced the appointment of Hiromu Kakishita as the managing director of its Japan office, effective October 3, 2016.

In this role, Kakishita will partner closely with local clients to solve their mission critical challenges. He will be responsible for expanding the office’s client base and establishing long-term relationships within the industry and market, as well as managing office revenue, profitability and operations.

“Much of Hiromu’s career has focused on providing trusted automotive forecasting services and strategic advisory solutions to the world’s top automotive manufacturers, suppliers and financial organizations,” said Tom Longo, Regional Vice President, Asia Pacific Region of Urban Science. “His experience will bring high value to both our local clients and to Urban Science overall.”

Kakishita joins Urban Science with over 35 years of experience in the global automotive industry. Prior to joining Urban Science, he served as automotive advisor for Lectra Japan, representative director of Japan for CSM Worldwide and senior director of Asia Pacific automotive sales for IHS Global KK’s Japan office, where, during his tenure, he earned awards for sales performance and sales management. Kakishita earned a Bachelor’s degree from Kyoto Sangyo University in Kyoto.
