URBAN SCIENCE ANNOUNCES FRANCISCO SOLER AS NEW REGIONAL VICE PRESIDENT OF URBAN SCIENCE EUROPE
Global retail channel consulting firm Urban Science has promoted Francisco (Paco) Soler to regional vice president of Urban Science Europe. The announcement was made by Jim Anderson, president, founder and CEO. As a member of the corporate management team, Soler will be responsible for the growth and development of the company's European business.
"The European retail market is continually getting more sophisticated as to how retail locations are planned and stores are operated," said Anderson. "Paco's experience within Urban Science and his knowledge of the industry will be an asset as he continues to provide our clients with the tools and insight they need to manage their retail networks more efficiently."
Since joining Urban Science in 1992, Soler has worked in various roles in
the United States and Europe, and has been managing director of both the
Frankfurt and Madrid offices. In his most recent role as managing director
of Madrid, Soler simultaneously grew revenues, increased customer
satisfaction and diversified the company's product offerings.
Soler's pan-European management experience is extensive. While with Urban
Science, he has served as manager of the Chrysler and General Motors
accounts as well as special projects. Soler was also manager of corporate
initiatives at General Electric, where his responsibilities included
interacting with CEOs and other senior leaders of the GE businesses in
Europe.
Soler holds a Master of Business Administration degree from IMD,
Switzerland, graduated with honors; a Master of Arts degree in political
science from the National Long-Distance University, Spain; and a Master of
Science in economics and business administration from the University of
Valencia, Spain. He is also trained as a Six-Sigma Black
Belt.
