Urban Science Appoints Randall Tallerico Vice President, Global Account Management

DETROIT, Nov. 1, 2006 – Urban Science, a global retail channel consulting firm, has appointed Randall Tallerico as vice president, global account management.  The announcement was made by Jack Bowen, chief marketing officer for Urban Science.  In his new role, Tallerico will be responsible for developing and implementing Urban Science’s client relationship management strategy in support of the company’s customer satisfaction objectives.

Tallerico, a seasoned international marketing executive, was most recently at General Motors Corp. for five years as director of advertising sales and promotion for Buick.  Prior to that, he was with J Walter Thompson, the world’s fourth-largest full-service advertising agency, for more than 20 years.  During his tenure, he served a variety of international management roles such as director of multinational accounts across Western and Eastern Europe, the Middle East, Russia and Africa, where he led global advertising positioning, creative development and execution, and strategy and brand planning.  Tallerico worked out of its offices around the globe, including London, New York, Paris, Sydney, Bangkok and Frankfurt.

“Randall is a veteran at motivating performance improvements and creating cooperation across borders,” said Bowen.  “His extensive knowledge in strategic planning leadership and franchised operations will contribute greatly to our efforts to continue our 29-year history of steady growth around the world.” 

Tallerico, 54, holds a bachelor’s degree in interdisciplinary communications from the University of Michigan.  He is a member of the Adcraft Club of Detroit and Children’s Home of Detroit and has served on the boards of both organizations.  He resides in Grosse Pointe, Mich., with his wife and two children.
