The SnowPile Program is a family-centered care model of holiday gift giving for hospitalized children. Designed to respect families’ personal and religious beliefs, SnowPile operates under the premise that parents know their child best. Donations of toys and games are accepted and placed into one big SnowPile to allow parents to pick out appropriate gifts.
Urban Science provides a “Giving Tree” that is decorated with lists of needed items. Employees pick an item to donate and, once purchased, place the gifts under the tree.

Direct Relief International provides medical assistance to improve the quality of life for people affected by poverty, disaster, and civil unrest at home and around the world. Direct Relief supports the work of healthcare providers in more than 70 countries, equipping them with the medicines, supplies, and equipment so they can care for their patients.

Downtown Detroit Optimist Club is part of Optimist International, recognized worldwide as an organization committed to optimism and self-development for the improvement of youth and community. The Downtown Detroit Optimist Club conducts a variety of service projects that provide a helping hand to youth.

The Dream Street Foundation is a non-profit corporation providing camping programs for children with chronic and life threatening illnesses. Funded by Dream Street, children with cancer, blood disorders and other illnesses are given the opportunity to enjoy the experiences that are normally restricted as a result of their illness. Every summer, more than 750 children attend Dream Street's programs.

The Detroit Goodfellows comprise 300 members whose sole mission is to ensure that there is “No Kiddie without a Christmas". Each holiday season the Detroit Goodfellows distribute packages containing warm clothing, toys, books, games and candy to children ages four through 13 in Detroit, Highland Park, Hamtramck and River Rouge.

Team In Training, a program of the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society, focuses on raising as much money as they can to make a difference for cancer patients and their families. TNT has trained over a half a million runners, walkers, triathletes, cyclists and hikers, and raised $1.2 billion to fund lifesaving cancer research.
Hana Al-Harithi, an associate in the Urban Science Long Beach office, participated in the Surf City Half Marathon and raised money for The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society.
